The Grand Rapids Press
My primary job as an intern last summer at The Press was pagination and proofreading, and it was one of my greatest learning experiences in my young career. On the pagination side (using an older Harris NewsMaker program), it gave me creative control over how a page will look and how each of the elements of the page play off each other. On the proofreading side, it gave me valuable experience in cleaning up copy and fact-checking.
