		<description>And.... a random refresh by the website made me lose my comment. The point about accreditation is really interesting. I agree that the system is broken on a more conceptual level but it sounds like Central Michigan has/had the opportunity to experiment with a new form of proficiency certification had they had the cajones to do so.</description>

		<description>That&#039;s true- I only know of maybe two or three CMU students who are planning on graduate school in journalism or some other form of mass communication. In that case, it just comes back to how the accreditation system needs to get its act together and come up with a more modern curriculum requirement. The whole thing is just out of whack.</description>

		<description>I completely agree about accreditation, but there&#039;s something else to consider: people who want to go to grad school or law school, either immediately after graduation or later in life may need a degree from an accredited institution/school/program.
