Late Thursday night, the party came early for AnnArbor.com. The site went live for the first time in replacement of The Ann Arbor News, which ended its long run the same day. The future of news media has never been more exciting to me.
I am a multifaceted young journalist currently working as online sports producer at The Arizona Republic. I interned at The Grand Rapids Press over the summer, and previously served as 2009-10 editor in chief of Central Michigan Life, the award-winning student publication of Central Michigan University.
I was named 2009 College Journalist of the Year by the Michigan Press Association, and graduated from CMU in May 2010 with a degree in journalism and media design. I spent the summer of 2009 at The Grand Rapids Press as a copy desk intern, and summer 2008 at The Saginaw News as a metro reporting intern.
